History

24 years of history…

Founded in 2001, Aramisauto has always innovated to reinvent automotive purchasing. Guillaume Paoli and Nicolas Chartier quickly established themselves as key entrepreneurs in the French Tech sector thanks to a digital platform that has been constantly evolving.

After 10 years of developing the digital platform and network in France, Aramisauto offered, in 2010, the trade-in of used vehicles with payment in 24 hours, a first in France.

In 2011 the 100% satisfied or 100% refunded guarantee was launched, which gives customers 15 days to try out their vehicle, where they would only have 15 minutes at a dealership.

In 2014, a first used vehicle refurbishment centre was opened in Donzère, France. More than 1,500 used cars, entirely refurbished by Aramisauto experts, are put on sale every month.

In 2015, Aramisauto innovated once again and launched the first mobile application that allows customers to receive a fixed trade-in offer for their vehicle in 2 hours without having to leave their home.

In 2016, Aramisauto launched home delivery everywhere in France. In the same year, the PSA Peugeot-Citroën Group (now Stellantis) and Aramis Group created a long-term capital and strategic alliance to accelerate the development of online sales of used vehicles and associated services.

In 2017, the Group expanded its ambitions in Europe with the acquisition of a leading player in Spain: Clicars, a pioneer in online sales.

In 2018, Aramis Group continued its international development and established itself in Belgium with the acquisition of Cardoen, a historical player and leader in its market.

In 2021, Aramis Group accelerated its European expansion through the acquisition of a majority stake in the British platform CarSupermarket.com.

In 2022, Aramis Group expanded its presence to two new countries in Europe, acquiring the leader in B2C used cars sales in Austria, Onlinecars, as well as Brumbum, the leading online car retailer and car subscription player in Italy

In 2023, Aramis Group accelerated the convergence of its operating system, initiating the opening of customer centers in Spain to locally enhance the optichannel customer experience.

In 2025, Aramis Group initiated the convergence towards a new and unified brand identity, strengthening message consistency around its value proposition across all geographies.
